Children’s Safe Harbor collaborates with social service providers to support families facing safety concerns or high-conflict situations.
- Social service professionals may refer families directly for Safe Exchange Services, as long as both parents agree to participate
- Supervised Visitation Services require a court order
- Both parents must individually call Children’s Safe Harbor to begin the intake process. Services cannot begin until both have made contact
- If DCFS or another agency is involved, a signed Release of Information (ROI) is required to allow communication with Children’s Safe Harbor
- Children’s Safe Harbor staff will consult with referring professionals to determine if the family is a good fit for services
Note: Children’s Safe Harbor’s services are not therapeutic or evaluative, and staff do not make custody-related recommendations.
