In 2007 and 2008, members of the community came together with a shared dream: to create a safe and supportive place for children and survivors of domestic violence. That dream became a reality in January 2009 when Children’s Safe Harbor officially opened its doors.

Since then, Children’s Safe Harbor has continued to grow—always keeping the safety, dignity, and well-being of survivors at the heart of its mission.

We provide essential services to families affected by violence, including:

  • Supervised Visitation: A structured, secure environment where children can spend time with non-custodial parents under the watchful care of trained staff
  • Safe Exchange Programs: Designed to prevent conflict between parties during custody exchanges, ensuring children remain shielded from potential harm or stress

Our programs are intentionally created to be safe, supportive, and trauma-informed. Thanks to generous grant funding and private donations, we are proud to offer all of our services free of charge to the families who need them most.

At Children’s Safe Harbor, we believe every child deserves a peaceful place to grow—and we’re honored to be part of that journey.
